Night Full of Fun!

My cousin Gina lives in Missouri with her husband Terry, and their kids Nate, Alyssa, and Maddie. We usually see them every other year at Christmas (Terry's family is in Kansas so they rotate). We got a nice surprise this week. Gina and the kids are in town for a few days as they make their way home from vacationing in Florida. We are enjoying this time with them!

Tonight we all got together at my aunt Laura and uncle Ted's house and cooked out by their pool. It was so much fun for the adults to catch up and to watch the children play together! We have another get together planned for tomorrow night before Gina and the kids leave Friday morning.

Jennie and Jessica are all talk smiles! :)

Daddy, Jonathan, uncle Carlos, and uncle Ted relax by the pool rather than in it. The kids, however, prefer the pool!
Drew could really jump high on the trampoline - that's part of my daddy you see on the trampoline with him. Drew and Mikayla (well mostly Drew) have been wanting a trampoline, and we considered getting one for them this past Christmas. That is, until I began hearing about how dangerous they are. We only let Drew and Mikayla jump tonight under close supervision. Mikayla never let go of her Poppi while on the thing.

Mikayla swims with Samantha in the pool - she LOVES Samantha!
Drew, Carmen, Alyssa (Gina's middle child), and Samantha
My mom, cousin Gina, her mom aunt Leslie, and aunt Laura chit chat by the pool.Gina's son, Nate, is her oldest and I can't believe he's entering high school this year!Gina's daughter, Maddie, is her youngest and she and Drew share the same birthday - she is six years older though. My brother demonstrates how to do a flip on the trampoline - he has never had any fear! Jonathan watches as Drew demonstrates his version of the flip.

Enjoying time with our families is just something that we don't have high enough on our priorities! It looks like you all had a wonderful time and I hope you can do it again. Make a new tradition, right!!
Family time isn't just for the holidays anymore!!!
