This weeks' theme is: Beginnings
This theme is right up my alley as today marked the beginning of a new school year (it was the first day teachers had to report). Drew is beginning first grade this year and Mikayla is beginning 4 year old kindergarten.
I am beginning a new stage as a mommy because both of my kiddos will be at the school with me for the first time! I am looking so forward to this!!
I am also beginning a new stage professionally as it was announced today that I am the 2007-2008 Teacher of the Year for my district!! That means a state application to complete and the state interview. I am still in shock over this as there are SO many wonderfully talented educators in our district.

I did this meme, too. It's cool to be there for the very first week, and it'll be fun to support Skittles. And naturally, good luck to you and your wee ones with the 07-08 school year. Does your husband feel at all left out, not getting all revved up to do something scholastic?

My oldest grandchild starts kindergarten this year and it will be a three generational cry.. His mom, me across the state, and my mom in Florida. :)

Congratulations! Excellent award and show some appreciation for the work teachers do above and beyond the "job". In my world teachers would make 75K a year starting!!!
Congratulations on Teacher of the Year! I am really excited about the school year beginning also. I'll still have my two year old home with me, but my teenager is all hyped up about seeing all her friends!
