Putt Putt at the Beach

Friday night while at the beach, we took Drew and Mikayla to play putt putt (miniature golf). This is one of their favorite things to do when we go to the beach. We usually play on the course at Ocean Lakes, but this time we took them to one of the big ones you can find at the beach - Mountain Atlantic. It was very neat, you climbed higher and higher every few holes with the 18th hole being about 3 stories off the ground. The good thing is there were few places on the course where you could tell that you were that high up. Drew and Mikayla pose in one of the "caves". There were two courses to choose from "Lakes" or "Caves" and we chose "caves. We even went up a spiraling staircase at one point that was enclosed in "rock".
Both Drew and Mikayla love this game, and they both do pretty well. They both finished with one hole in one a piece! We were all screaming throughout the course.

I LOVE this picture of them in front of the "big" waterfall. I wish it were a little clearer, but my camera batteries were dying, so I had to take what I could get.
This picture isn't all that clear either because of the lights in the background, but it may give you an idea of how high we were. This was the bottom of the 18th hole (you had to go up a set of stairs to hit the ball first and then it came down to this level via a chute). We all had a fun time, but Drew and Mikayla got a little upset on the 19th hole. If you make a hole in one on the 19th hole you get a lifetime pass to play on either of these two course (a good deal since it was almost 40 dollars for us to play). They didn't understand that very few people make a hole in one on that hole. You had to hit your ball down a 15 foot strip that was only the width of a golf ball. There was water on either side and water surrounded the hole. Needless to say none of us got a lifetime pass. Craig was so scared, he let Drew hit his ball - haha!
