Drew brought home a book today from his 4k preschool class. The title is What Is It?. This is a book that has 8 pages and uses a repetitive sentence throughout. Each sentence starts with This is a... and then it has a picture of the word. Drew can read this book by himself!! I read the title and first page (a technique that we use in my kindergarten class), and he picked right up on the repitition. Pretty good for a boy who just turned 4, even if I do say so myself! :) We are SO proud of him. Mikayla wanted to get in on the celebration (of course), so we let her "read" the book also! She is really good at "reading" the pictures, which is the first step in the reading process. We celebrated for her as well!
